The acoustic in this restaurant is not good. It is a small room and even normal conversations seem loud. When the coffee machine is used, I couldn't hear what my friend said (and tables are not large). The food was good (had the tuna melt) and serivce is friendly.

We walked back to our apartment from the Nijmegen Centraal train station after a FULL day of travel, and we were exhausted and starving! So, we decided to walk over to Wijck, our neighborhood restaurant, where we knew we could get a strong cocktail and a delicious meal. The waitress encouraged us to try the day’s special. She typed into my Google Translator app, “ stroof met rode kool en aardappelpuree”, or -in English - stew with red cabbage and mashed potatoes. Truly Comfort Food!! A generous portion of delicious, sweet, hearty beef stew arrived, and it was the perfect dish! We both ate every bite of large, tender chunks of beef, roasted onions, squash and beets(?) in a sweet stewed cabbage sauce on a generous bed of mashed potatoes!! Our new, favorite dinner spot in Nijmegen!!

Prima lunch. Vrolijke bediening, goede sfeer en leuke kaart. Een aanrader!

Schitterende plek voor een lekkere lunch. Een mooie locatie in een prettige wijk, buiten de drukte van de het centrum. De sfeer is erg goed. Het terras buiten heeft zowel zon- als schaduwplekken. Het is binnenin ruimer dan je misschien zou denken. Het interieur is gezellig en vernieuwend. In verhouding tot het aantal gasten vond ik dat er relatief weinig personeel was, maar de bediening was erg vriendelijk en nauwkeurig. De keuze aan drankjes en eten is erg gevarieerd: voor ieder wat wils! Alle gerechten werden op mooie wijze opgemaakt en geserveerd op leuk servies. De lunchgerechten waren goed op smaak. Er werd gewerkt met verse ingrediënten, op de paprika na. Voor zowel de broodjes als salades kun je kiezen voor wit of donker brood, wat ik erg waardeer. Al met al is deze plek zeker aan te raden!
